I am really excited to be able to share with all of you my Book Covers Meet Project Runway post for The Fashion Committee Blog Tour! I’ve always been a huge fan of the reality TV show, Project Runway. It’s fun watching all the challenges and being amazed at the fantastic (or not so fantastic) outfits created on such a short amount of time and budget.
When I read the summary for The Fashion Committee by Susan Juby, I was immediately hooked and knew it’d be a book I’d read! A fashion competition IN a book?? Yes, please!!! So, I am thrilled to sharing this post about a super cute book and a few book covers I matched to project runway outfits.
Don’t forget to enter the giveaway at the bottom!
Charlie Dean is a style-obsessed girl who eats, sleeps, and breathes fashion. John Thomas-Smith is a boy who forges metal sculptures in his garage and couldn’t care less about clothes. Both are gunning for a scholarship to the private art high school that could make all their dreams come true. Whoever wins the fashion competition will win the scholarship–and only one can win.
Book Covers Meet Project Runway Outfits
As Tim Gunn would say, let’s make it work and see what book covers inspired these outfits! Under each outfit you’ll find the designer’s name and which season this outfit aired. I found some great photos from all the different shows from Junior, to All Stars. So much talent!
