#RockMyTBR February Wrap-up

ROCK (1)

February Wrap-Up!

February went much better for me with this challenge than January did. In January the only thing I completed was a novella (The Burning Hand by Jodi Meadows).

For February I read 2 books for the #RockMyTBR Challenge  🎉 🎉 🎉

  1. Just Listen by Sarah Dessen – Review Here
  2. The Raven Boys by Maggie Steifvater

I literally finished The Raven Boys 3 minutes before midnight on February 29th. I really struggled with the book and wanted to DNF it. I pushed through because of encouragement from others and I can’t say I wish I had pushed through. 🙁

But YAY I read the book I planned to read this month!

March Rock My TBR Book

For March, my book is The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski!

Let me know if you’d like to participate in the Buddy Read for it! I have a DM group and a Goodreads group set up for this challenge!

Kudos for finishing a book you wanted to DNF; that is SO HARD to do. Sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesn’t but especially as a blogger whose reading time is even more precious, I’m impressed that you kept reading. I don’t think I would’ve been able to. I hope you love all your March books!

I kept reading because everyone said book 1 is the slowest but book 2 and 3 are amazing. So, who knows, I may try the other books sometime. Not right away though. 😀

Great job!! The challenge is going pretty good for me. I’ve read one out of my ten challenge books (oops) but most of the books I’m reading each month, so far, have been ones I already own – so high five to me 🙂 I decided to create a little point system to encourage me and I think I set my goal at a hundred – so for every book I read I earn a certain amount of points depending on how long it’s been on my shelf. So 2016 = 0, 2015 = 1, 2014 = 2, etc. Which is making everything that bit more fun 🙂

This is the page where I’m keeping tally.

That’s a great idea! Rewards systems are always a lot of fun and how creative to do that. I hope you’re able to reach your goals we as well 🙂

Yay for reading two books for your challenge! I’m not surprised you didn’t enjoy The Raven Boys as much as others based upon what you were saying. But at least now you know.

Yeah it was definitely a struggle. I gave it 4 stars but I’m thinking it’s more 3.5 for me. There were interesting things about it but the story was just too confusing. The “why” he was looking for the ley line seemed to just come too late in the book. But I’m glad I finally read it. I just have to decide if or when I’ll read the others.

Congratuations on finishing two books, especially the one you wanted to DNF! I really liked The Raven Boys, but I could understand how some people wouldn’t like it. It took me a while to get into it myself. I finished three books for the challenge this month, yay! My February Challenges Wrap Up post is here if you’re interested. Good luck on next month’s read!

Great job on the 3 books! It feels so nice to finally read those books I’ve been wanting to for a while. I’ll definitely go check out your post. 😀

Good for you for pushing through! Lately I don’t know what to do when I read a book like that. One half of me looks at my TBR list and thinks hey if you have read at least a quarter and you arent into it, life is too short! (And my TBR too long!) Move on already! But the other half of me feels so obligated to finish, what if it’s amazing? What if the second book is amazing? *sigh* I am not doing as well with my #RockmyTBR reads. I thought I was but then I realize most of the books I read are from the library. Oops. However I am doing a little better than I thought because I originally thought the books had to be from 2015 or earlier. Then one of the other participants said no I just has to be released instead of say an ARC. Well all my books are released so hey! Anyway here is am update post if you want to have a look, there isnt a linky for updates is there? https://novelcravings.wordpress.com/

You know, I hadn’t thought to add a link up for each month but that’s a great idea! I’ll set something up. Yeah the goal is any book already published (so basically no arcs) that way we can catch up on those books sitting on our shelves. 😀

Well then this just got a whole lot easier for me! I dont read ARCs, LOL
I do have a lot of books to read on my shelf though it is still a good challenge for me.

Your doing so well in the challenge! I am glad you read two of my faves this month (I mean, I pressured you into them both, basically, but I’m chill with that). I’m starting THE WINNER’S CURSE now and am not really into it, but we’ll see!

I mostly failed on February! So I’m hoping to do better in March, although so far I have only read 1 book from mt TBR pile that’d could count towards the challenge…
